Title:                    Procurement Specialist  
Salary:                 $64,972 - $81,215 - $89,337 per year (pay range explained below) 
Contract:              Permanent 
Hours:                  37.5 hours, Monday- Friday (core hours- 9:00 am- 3:00 pm)
Location:             Coast Salish Territories of Musqueam Nations: Metro Vancouver: Sinclair office – (Hybrid – minimum 50% in the offices)
Please note, this role will be relocating to our new office building in North Vancouver on Tsleil-Waututh Nation (TWN) land, south of Mount Seymour Parkway, after Oct 2024

About the role
As Procurement Specialist, you will partner with internal and external clients to determine the procurement method. You will coordinate the vendor selection process; maintain a pre-qualified list of vendors by goods and services category; interface and negotiates with suppliers for price, delivery; prepares legal binding documents and oversee full life cycle for the agreement; solicit and analyse quotations; performs periodic audits of transactions to ensure compliance; prepares management and compliance reports. Additionally, this role uses independent judgment in resolution of routine and non-routine responsibilities to ensure high quality client services support.  

About you
To be successful in this role you will have/be –
•    A degree, plus 4 to 6 years of progressively responsible experience in procurement, materials management and contract administration or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
•    Achievement of a Supply Chain Management Professional designation would be a definite asset.
•    Excellent planning, interpersonal skills and collaboration skills with the ability to interact with staff at all levels.
•    Excellent communication skills – oral, written, proof reading.
•    Ability to be flexible and adaptable.
•    Demonstrated ability to multi-task, set priorities effectively and problem solve, including early identification of issues/problems that may arise.
•    Advanced knowledge of PeopleSoft, MS office – Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel. 
•    Strong attention to detail and accuracy with a commitment to high quality work
