Title:                    Nurse Coordinator, CD Emergency Infection Prevention and Control
Salary:                 $91,122 – $107,448 per year (pay range explained below)*             
Contract:             Term until June 3, 2026
Hours:                  37.5 Hours, Monday – Friday (core hours 9am – 3pm)
Location:             Sinclair Office, Downtown Vancouver, Hybrid (50% in office). Please note, this role will be relocating to our new office building in North Vancouver on Tsleil-Waututh Nation (TWN) land, south of Mount Seymour Parkway, summer 2025.
Bargaining Unit:  PIPSC BCFNHA Group (Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada) 

*The FNHA is engaged in active collective agreement negotiations and rates of pay will be adjusted to reflect 2024 rates in the near future.

About the role
In partnership with First Nations communities and organizations, FNHA and other government and non-government partners and stakeholders, plans, coordinates, and evaluates clinical public health services in Communicable Diseases Emergencies/Infection Prevention and Control programs and initiatives for First Nations communities in the British Columbia Region.

About you
To be successful in this role you will have/be – 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from a recognized university or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Successful completion of approved training in public health nursing or communicable disease control (CDC) training. 
  • Current Infection Prevention and Control Certificate.
  • Current practicing registration with the BC College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNM)

Experience

  • Three to Five (3-5) years of experience in public health nursing, communicable disease control or Infection Prevention and Control.
  • Experience in leading projects and teams, logistics, continuous quality improvement activities.
