Title:                Administrative Assistant
Salary:            $51,593—$64,491—$70,940 per year (pay range explained below).             
Contract:        6—Month Term. (Extension of term may be possible).
Hours:            37.5 Hours, Monday—Friday (core hours 9am—3pm).
Location:       Quinsam—Campbell River, Vancouver Island.

About the role
As an integral part of the administrative team, the Administrative Assistant will be the first point of contact at the Quinsam office and will support the Regional Operations Manager in organizing, managing, and triaging information in a time sensitive and confidential nature. You will oversee fleet calendars and provide bookings, along with receiving daily orders throughout the business hours and checking/ordering supplies when needed. 

About you
To be successful in this role you will have/be –

  • Post-secondary course work in office administration, plus 2 to 4 years of administrative experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience working with BC First Nations Communities and/or organizations.
  • Experience utilizing office software which includes word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, and basic database.
  • Experience in providing general administrative support.
  • Knowledge of administrative services, processes, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of general principles and practices regarding document and file management, including tracking approaches and systems, confidentiality and security.
