Title:                          Professional Practice Leader – Nurse Prescribing & Toxic Drug Response
Salary:                      $95,728 – $115,270 per year (pay range explained below)*             
Contract:                   Permanent
Hours:                       37.5 Hours, Monday – Friday (core hours 9am – 3pm)
Location:                  Park Royal, West Vancouver – Please note, this role will be relocating to our new office building in North Vancouver on Tsleil-Waututh Nation (TWN) land, south of Mount Seymour Parkway, after October 2024.
Bargaining Unit:       PIPSC BCFNHA Group (Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada) 

*The FNHA is engaged in active collective agreement negotiations and rates of pay will be adjusted to reflect 2024 rates in the near future.

About the role
As Professional Practice Leader – Nurse Prescribing & Toxic Drug Response, you will – be responsible for the delivery of educational programs, processes and services. You will provide expertise in the facilitation of clinical skills development and advance professional practice within the First Nations Health Authority Nursing Programs, with a specific focus on RN Prescribing and the Toxic Drug Crisis.

About you
To be successful in this role you will have/be – 

  • Graduation with a degree from a recognized university with acceptable specialization in nursing, nursing service administration, nursing education or related field or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Master’s degree in Nursing or a health related field is an asset
  • Completion of BCCSU RN Prescribing Education Program

You may have experience in; 

  • Significant experience in the provision of mental health and substance use services and community health nursing services. 
  • Experience in providing nursing education and in mentoring nurses.
  • Experience identifying and analyzing practice issues and developing strategies for improvement.
  • Experience in program development.
  • Experience in leading teams.
