The HR Advisory Services team is accountable for all aspects of the Human Resources Advisory function related to HR business partner services and labour relations, which includes organizational design, leadership coaching, talent management, progressive discipline & termination support, workforce planning, dispute resolution, and investigations.

Salary:        $86,778 - $102,091 - $117,405 year (pay range explained below)            
Contract:    Temporary, Term until 26th June 2026
Hours:         37.5 hours, Monday- Friday 
Location:     Anywhere in BC – (Hybrid – minimum 50% in the offices)

About the role
Reporting to the Director, HR Advisory Services, as HR Business Partner you will share the responsibility for business goals and target delivery through alignment of HR practices and business strategies. You will be first point of contact for operational partners within assigned client group(s), working closing with the HR team, drawing on the expertise of both internal and external subject matter experts to facilitate effective implementation of HR plans and initiatives in a seamless service delivery model. Additionally, as a member of the management team of operational partners, you will be accountable for providing a full range of human resources advice and solutions.

About you
To be successful in this role you will have: 
•    Must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree preferably in Human Resources or Business Administration, be specialized in Human Resources Management
•    The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five (5) years of experience involving the application of advanced HR expertise to the resolution of complex people and organizational issues in an environment with unionized and non-union employees
•    CHRP designation considered an asset.
•    Preference will be given to candidates with experience working in an Indigenous organization, and familiar with Indigenous culture, and have worked with Indigenous communities. 
•    Advanced knowledge of the concepts, practices, methods and techniques pertaining to the human resources field, including knowledge of specialized disciplines, such as employee relations, labour relations, leadership coaching and training, learning & development, organizational culture, compensation and benefits, and recruitment.
•    Models a commitment to service and being a strategic HR business partner within a complex organization.
•    An accomplished communicator and active listener with a demonstrated ability to negotiate and influence within a collaborative framework, with a proven ability to create a safe space for communication. 
•    Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to mentor and coach to ensure success in the workplace.
•    An understanding and application of trauma informed HR practices would be an asset.
•    Solid leadership skills to take the lead on projects and assignments to address clients’ HR requirements
•    Ability and willingness to perform all regular job duties and responsibilities through an Indigenous lens, with specific consideration given to cultural safety and humility.
