Title:             Planner 
Salary:          $72,841 - $91,051 - $100,156  per year (pay range explained below)             
Contract:     Permanent 
Hours:          37.5 hours per week. 8:30am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday
Location:     Metro Vancouver, BC. Please note, this role will be relocating to our new office building in North Vancouver on Tsleil-Waututh Nation (TWN) land, south of Mount Seymour Parkway, after October 2024.

About the role
The Planner role is an exciting opportunity to work in a diverse field with Mental Health and Wellness, including Substance use, Mental Health, Traditional Wellness, Youth, Wellness Initiatives and Healing Centres, lodges and Modalities. As the Planner, you will support in the areas of department and program planning, project and event coordination, research, writing and analysis. This includes the development of reports, presentations, templates, processes and strategic and operational plans. Travel will be required in this position.

About you
To be successful in this role you will have:

  • University Degree in a related field, plus 2 years of recent, relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Recent, relevant and significant experience in planning and/or public administration 
  • Experience in working with First Nations
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Knowledge of colonization and the unique history of Indigenous peoples in Canada
  • Knowledge of intergenerational trauma as it relates to First Nations and mental health
  • Understanding of mental health and wellness programs managed by FNHA, including IRS, NAYSPS, and NNADAP
