Title:                     Occupational Health Nurse
Salary:                 $97,462  -  $114,661 -  $131,861 per year (pay range explained below) 
Contract:              Permanent 
Hours:                  37.5 hours, Monday- Friday (core hours- 9:00 am- 3:00 pm)  
Location:             Coast Salish Nations of Squamish, Musqueam and Tsleil-Waututh Nations: Metro Vancouver: Park Royal or Sinclair office. (Hybrid working is an option in line with FNHA’s flex work policy).This role requires occasional travel within the province.

Please note, this role will be relocating to our new office building in North Vancouver on Tsleil-Waututh Nation (TWN) land, south of Mount Seymour Parkway, after Oct 2024

About the role
In this role and as part of FNHA’s Employee Health, Safety & Wellness Team, you will provide specialized expertise for Occupational Health programs that promote employee health and address health hazards for at risk employee groups within FNHA. These programs include health assessments, monitoring, surveillance, and health teaching components in accordance with WCB legislation, PHAC, and BCCDC recommendations. You will also develop good working relationships with members of the FNHA Family across the province and at all levels of the organization to facilitate effective collaboration and engagement; timely gathering of valuable information in an outbreak management/exposure occurrence; and to successfully enable the provision of guidance for safety in practice based on the interpretation and knowledge of occupational health risk factors. About you
You are a self-motivated and detail-driven individual with a strong passion for healthcare and workplace wellness! You thrive in a team environment where you can problem-solve and demonstrate initiative. You possess occupational health nursing expertise to develop, implement, maintain, evaluate, and lead OHN programming and services in support of physical and psychosocial wellness in the workplace. 

To be successful in this role you will have these qualifications:


Education
•    Graduation with a Nursing degree from a recognized university.
•    Completion of an occupational health nursing education program.


Occupational Certification
•    Current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNP). An interim BCCNP registration may be accepted.
•    Willingness and eligibility to become a registered at the time of appointment in British Columbia.
•    Current certification with Canadian Occupational Health Nurses Certification COHN(C).


Experience
•    Five to Seven (5 to 7) years of experience in the direct provision of occupational health nursing services, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
•    Experience delivering OHN services in the health care sector is strongly preferred.
