Title:              Nurse Manager, Communicable Disease Control Program
Salary:           $109,356 - $128,653 - $147,951 per year (pay range explained below)
Contract:       Permanent 
Hours:           37.5 hours, Monday – Friday (core hours 9am – 3pm)
Location:       Metro Vancouver – Hybrid (50% in office). Please note, this role will be relocating to our new office building in North Vancouver on Tsleil-Waututh Nation (TWN) land, south of Mount Seymour Parkway, after October 2024.

About the role
As the Nurse Manager, Communicable Disease Control Program, you will develop, manage, and evaluate public and community health protection, promotion, and disease prevention programs. You will provide expert clinical leadership to CDC program staff. And you will lead and coordinate the development, implementation and evaluation of CDC training courses. As well as, you will participate in the planning, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of pandemic and outbreaks of influenza and other communicable diseases. In addition, you will manage monthly and quarterly reporting for Communicable Disease budgets. 

About you
To be successful in this role you will have/be – 

  • Master’s Degree in Public Health or Nursing from a recognized university and successful completion of approved training in public health nursing or other specialty relevant to the position or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNM)
  • Eligibility for registration as a Registered Nurse in BC 
  • Possession of a (BCCNM) practicing license

You may have experience in; 

  • Five (5) + years of experience in developing, planning, and implementing community Health Programs, working in collaboration with a variety of nursing and First Nations organizations to promote nursing in First Nations communities, and financial and human resource management
