Title:                   Ability Management Specialist
Salary:                $72,841 – $91,051 – $100,156 per year (pay range explained below)            
Contract:            Permanent
Hours:                37.5 Hours, Monday – Friday (core hours 9am – 3pm)
Location:           Sinclair Office, Downtown Vancouver. Hybrid (50% in office) Please note, this role will be relocating to our new office building in North Vancouver on Tsleil-Waututh Nation (TWN) land, south of Mount Seymour Parkway, after October 2024.

About the role
As the Ability Management Specialist, this role will report to the Director, HR Advisory Services. Alongside the Ability Management, OHS, and HR Advisory teams, and in conjunction with the manager(s), healthcare providers and insurers, this person will provide expert advice and caring and compassionate ability management program support to FNHA employees in sensitive personal health and wellness situations while maintaining privacy and confidentiality. 

About you
To be successful in this role you will have/be – 

  • A University degree in Disability Management or related field, and a minimum 2 years’ of work experience in disability management, return to work programs, and WSBC and STD/LTD claims management, or an equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Certified in Disability Claims Management (CRTWC, CDMP) is an asset. 
  • Experienced in a mixed environment with union and non-union employees;
