Title:                               Community Health Nurse
Salary:                            $82,341 - $95,728 per year (pay range explained below)

Hours:                            Part-time - 18.75 hours per week
Location:                       Ulkatcho, B.C. (Anahim Lake) Nursing Station
Bargaining Unit:           Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada (PIPSC) 

*The FNHA is engaged in active collective agreement negotiations and rates of pay will be adjusted to reflect 2024 rates in the near future.

About the role
As the Community Health Nurse, you will work in an expanded scope of practice to provide primary care, public health, health promotion, and emergency care for First Nations individuals, families, and communities, including after hours on-call care. You will work independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team.

Please note:

  • Housing is available
  • It is a 4 week on / 4 week off rotation

About you
To be successful in this role you will have / be:

  • A bachelor's degree in nursing
  • Current registration with British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
  • Must be or working towards Remote certified (RNC) with BCCNM
  • Current CPR course for Health Care Providers (HCP)
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's license 
  • An understanding of First Nations cultural principles and protocols
  • Knowledge of nursing processes

You may have experience in;

  • Primary care, disease and injury prevention, health protection, curative, urgent and emergent care, medical / surgical, rehabilitation and supportive or palliative care.

BC Remote Certification
FNHA Community Health Nurse, have or are working towards Remote Certification (RNC) and can live anywhere in Canada. If you are currently not Remote Certified, speak with us today on how we can help you obtain your RNC, with extensive training, travel and salary paid for while you’re pursuing your certification.
