Title:          Regional Manager, Mental Health and Wellness
Salary:      $97,462 - $114,661 - $131,861 per year (pay range explained below)

Hours:       37.5 hours, Monday- Friday

About the role
As Regional Manager, Mental Health & Wellness, you will manage and oversee the the planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and quality control of Regional Mental Health and Wellness programs. You will focus on enhancing mental health outcomes through targeted service improvements, including trauma-informed practice, outreach, and crisis response services. You will prioritize optimizing service experiences for First Nations and Aboriginal individuals and families, impacting community-wide mental health services. You performs full scope of people and fiscal management responsibilities. Builds and nurtures partnerships with BC First Nations communities, Regional Health staff, leadership, and other partners.

About you
To be successful in this role you will have/be –
•    Bachelor's degree in psychology, public health, health sciences, social work (or related degree)
•    8 years of years of related experience, including that in a previous leadership role, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in a clinical setting
•    Recent experience within last 5 years in mental health programs and planning (usually acquired after a minimum of 8 years of experience)
•    Significant, recent and relevant experience working within BC's health care system (usually acquired after a minimum of 8 years of experience)
•    Demonstrated experience responding to mental health emergencies and trauma informed practice
•    Demonstrated experience working with First Nations and Aboriginal community members and organizations
•    Knowledge of health and wellness governance landscape in First Nations health in BC, particulary related to mental wellness
•    Knowledge of theories, practices and principles relative to mental wellness, suicide prevention, and mental health emergency response, particularly relative to First Nations in BC, including the current programs and services available
